REEDLEY, CA – The countdown to showtime is getting more exciting as Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Exposure draws ever nearer. Innovations, new products, and familiar faces await the industry, and one booth you shan’t pass up is Family Tree Farms’—for the provider is debuting a new item to its portfolio. I got in touch with Ryan Howard, resident Sales Manager for the grower, to give me early access to the new category.
“Family Tree Farms is very excited to be showcasing our blueberries and stonefruit this year at SEPC, along with blackberries for the first time ever,” Ryan tells me. “Blackberries are the new frontier at Family Tree, and we can’t wait to talk shop with attendees at Southern Exposure this year to determine where we can provide our strengths.”
Tackling this new frontier at the aptly named trade show is more than just kismet. The blackberry category complements the grower’s bustling portfolio, especially as it seeks out other berry additions.

“Blackberries work well in our portfolio as we like to highlight flavor and quality,” Ryan continues. “We are continuing to pursue other berries to complement our program of the most flavorful blueberries that shoppers can’t get enough of.”
From March 2 to March 4 in Orlando, Florida, attendees can see the new blacks in person as the Family Tree Farms team showcases its ongoing pursuit of flavor and varietal excellence that separates it from the competition.
“SEPC has been a great event year after year. It’s an opportunity to highlight what’s new at Family Tree, but also to visit with our partners in attendance from all around the country,” shares Ryan. “The team definitely cannot wait to see industry friends again and to explore the innovations in store.”
