Peruvian grape exports 30% above last year

So far in 2023, Peruvian grape exports reached 331,022 tons, showing growth close to 30 percent compared to what was registered in the same period of the previous year, as reported by Agraria.

It is possible that as the campaign progresses, this growth rate will be reduced, but expectations remain positive.

In week 31, grape shipments from Peru recovered again (after a bad week 30), totaling 560 tons, which was 21 percent higher than the same week last year and 23 percent higher than the week former.

In that week, the Peruvian grape reached 9 destinations, including the U.S., with a 41 percent share (230 tons); Colombia, with 29 percent (162 tons); and the Dominican Republic, with 10 percent (55 tons).

During that week, 13 Peruvian exporters participated, where the largest were Multifoods S.A.C., with 18 percent participation (103 tons), and Procesadora Laran S.A.C., with 16 percent (90 tons).
