Peru exported 80,050 tons of fresh mango in the 2023/2024 campaign, i.e. 68.34% less than in the previous campaign. This drop was very close to the forecast made by the Peruvian Association of Mango Producers and Exporters (APEM), which projected the export volume would decrease by 70%.
According to Iván Vílchez, president of APEM, this was an unusual campaign due to conditions never before recorded. 64,742 tons were shipped by sea, 13,536 tons by air, and 1,770 tons by land. The main destinations were the Netherlands, the United States, Spain, Germany, and England, among other markets.

Peruvian frozen mango exports decreased by 72.72% in the 2023/2024 campaign and amounted to 19,394,403 kilos. The frozen mango’s main destinations were the United States, Canada, and Belgium.
It’s still too early to forecast the production volume of the 2024/2025 campaign; however, the current temperatures are similar to those of previous years, which suggests favorable conditions for flowering and, therefore, for mango production.
