There will be a lot to talk about at the Consalo Family Farms booth at the Southeastern Produce Council’s Southern Exposure show in Orlando, FL.

Officials at the company, which is in the midst of celebrating its 98th year in business, always view the event as a great opportunity to re-engage with its customers and talk about all that is going on in the industry and at the Vineland, NJ-based operation.

They expect the same opportunities this year and, of course, the same chance to show attendees what has made this company so successful for nearly a century.

“SEPC is a key show for us,” said AJ Consalo, the company’s chief operating officer. “We invite our stakeholders to join us at our booth, No. 632, to not only see our product line-up, but our presentation of our brand. We think that the combination of our product quality and our brand identity speaks for itself.”

He said that there will be much to see and explore, from old standbys to new additions.

“Currently we are heading into our first Moroccan blueberry season,” Consalo said. “We are excited about the future of this program and the quality of the product. This is mostly a jumbo program with extraordinary size, firm crunch and great flavor. Further into the season, we look forward to our peachy blue variety that has been in the works for a couple of years now in New Jersey. This will be our first year of sizeable harvest and we look forward to the promotion and feedback on this.”

Consalo added that the long and successful history of the company always plays a major role in the future prospects as well as its current operations. Letting attendees understand how the company, since its founding by William Consalo Sr. in 1927, has evolved goes a long way to building and maintaining relationships.

“We will continue to showcase the longevity of a family business that is always investing in the future,” he said. “We strive to stay a step ahead by exploring new ideas, technology and equipment. We hope that visitors to our booth see how, through the evolution of the business, staying true to our core values has allowed us to gain the trust of our customers and others throughout the industry.”

He is also quite proud to be a part of the fourth generation of the family to run this company, and to share that fact with customers who are always eager to do business with a company that consistently performs and has a track record that proves it can be trusted.

“Consalo Family Farms grows a full line of conventional and organic produce with core items blueberries, wet vegetables, herbs, cooking greens, salad items, grapes and citrus,” he noted. “Currently driving sales is our organic program, our custom packaging options as well as our private label offerings. Our commitment to quality goes beyond farm to retail shelf as we provide merchandising support to our customers and continue to support marketing programs for retail.”

With a solid line of product, strong generational leadership and a dedication to providing high-quality fruit and produce for tables across North America, Consalo is looking forward to what is ahead for the company.

“The future is definitely bright for Consalo Family Farms,” he said. “We feel as if you get back out what you put in. With the constant reinvestment back into our operations, facilities, farms, as well as our team, we are building a strong future and a strong name for Consalo Family Farms in the industry.”
